Explore the basics of wet felting
In this class, you will create a personal Remembrance Day poppy flower using the basic techniques of wet felting. You will begin by lay out layers of carded wool and create an even surface.
Next, you will carefully pour warm, soapy water over the wool and begin the felting process. Starting with gentle rubbing and light pressure, you will gradually increase the amount of friction and pressure as the wool fiber begin to bond together. As the felt becomes stronger, you will continue shaping it until it reaches a smooth, firm, and well-felted surface.
Once the felting is complete, attach a brooch needle so you can safely attach it, ready for Remembrance Day.
