You will explore the basic techniques of hand-building with clay. Starting with a single chunk of clay, you will shape it into the basic body. Step by step you will form and securely attach the wings, legs, tail and eyes. Along the way, you will practice essential clay techniques such as pinching, rolling, scoring, slipping, smoothing, and blending to create a strong and well-crafted figure.
POLICIES:
Refund: If you are unable to attend class for any reason, please notify the Arts Council via text at 306-634-3942. Our current office hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30- 2:30 so response may not be immediate.
48 hrs. notice prior to class is required for a refund – our artists must prep to bring you these wonderful classes! There will be no refunds issued for less than 48 hrs. notice.
Cancellation: If a class is cancelled due to insufficient registration, instructor illness, weather, etc., we will schedule a make-up class, offer another class, or refund fees if preferred.
HEADS UP! Students are asked to dress in casual, comfortable clothing. Art making is often a messy process!
The Estevan Arts Council and its instructors love to promote art! Therefore, we reserve the right to use photographs and videos that are taken during classes for the purpose of social media and print advertising. If this is an issue, you must notify the instructor at the class.
