Allison Holzer
Allison moved to Estevan in 1983 to begin her teaching career, married, and made Estevan her home. She and her husband, Phil, raised three children. She is now happily retired after 32 years of teaching at the Estevan Comprehensive School which included 15 years as a school administrator.
During her time at the school, she was very involved in the choir and drama program, as well as the school musicals where she took on the role of Co-Director, producer, and piano player. Her love of music has led her to be part of her church music team, a member of the Music Festival Executive as well as a participant, director, and accompanist in the festival.
Allison also loves to be involved in the community and over the years has enjoyed many roles including President of the Souris Valley Theatre and the Estevan Rotary. She has also been involved in several large community undertakings. In 2016 she was the Summer Games Ceremonies Coordinator, and in 2018 was on the planning committee for both the Home Hardware Canada Cup and the SaskTel Tankard.
Allison continues to be an active substitute teacher and likes to spend time with her three grandchildren and her horses.
She is happy to be a part of the Estevan Arts Council as she believes that the Arts are an integral part of every community and invites others who are supporters of the Arts to join the team.
